Our fees are charged by the hour and paid in advance - minimum research time to be authorised is typically two hours or £20 plus expenses as incurred.Our current hourly fee is £10.

We can also obtain Birth, Marriage and death certificates that were issued from July 1837 onwards. If these are obtained as part of an ongoing research project we will charge them at their cost to us.

The method of payment can be arranged to suit the client’s preference, wherever possible.

The client can restrict the costs to be incurred, by establishing a cost ceiling. Researching Relatives will then undertake as much work as possible in the authorised time allowed.

The timescale for completing the work obviously depends on the scope of the project; however, we would aim to produce a progress report to the client every 2-3 weeks.

Hints For Payment From Outside The UK

People who bank with a European Union bank should be able to make out their Euro cheques in pounds sterling.

In Canada money orders at any major bank can be made out in pounds sterling and if you have a "Service Package" at the bank, most will not have any charge for the money order, except the rate of exchange.

People in the U.S.A. and Canada can avail themselves of a service provided by REUSCH INTERNATIONAL for sending STERLING PAYMENTS:

1. Telephone REUSCH INTERNATIONAL at 1-800-424-2923 or locally at 212-408-1200, quoting the Sterling sum you require and the name of the payee. They will give you the conversion rate in dollars, adding a handling fee, and also give you a reference number.
   
2. Send a personal check for the amount given to REUSCH INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL SERVICES, 700 ELEVENTH STREET N W, 4th FLOOR, WASHINGTON D.C.,
   20001-4507, quoting the reference number allocated.
   
3. Within a few days you will receive a REUSCH sterling check made out to the payee which you can then post.
